From being a six-membered band calling themselves Boulevard
Knights for about a month, they changed their name to Cellar
Door and played songs like Fade To Black (Metallica),
Y'all Want A Single (Korn) and Aerials (SOAD), but they also
made their very first own song, then called ''Curses On The Floor''.
About a year later the band discussed the fact that three
guitarists were quite many, and Fredrik Hammersland took a
respectful hike back to his roots in the rythm of blues.
The band started creating songs all along, such as ''My Stone Mason'',
''Thank You'' (earlier ''Curses On The Floor''), ''Resurrection''
and ''Cheesy Gossip''. The Mustang Sally cover also became a
great success for Brugada, who at the time called themselves
Ratamahatta. Ratamahatta was a fact until the winter of 2007.

"...The group was formed in 1989 and Onyx released its first 12" single,
"Ah, and We Do it Like This", in 1990. The song sounded very jazz
influenced, much unlike their later work. In 1991 Onyx was going
to present a demo to Jam Master Jay at Def Jam, but Big DS and
Sonee Seeza (then only known as Suave) were in Connecticut at
the time, so Fredro Starr called up his cousin Sticky Fingaz
(who was always rhyming while working in a barber shop).
Once Sticky Fingaz joined the group, the group released
the Throw Ya Gunz EP in 1992..." MORE

One of the most expressive directions of the Brazilian underground 90's,
the Resist Control. And having a style difficult to be fitted;
variant from the metal and hardcore, in a crossover with hip-hop;
and swing with a lot of groove. Besides the musical quality,
another significant aspect of these persons from Curitiba it is
his letters, which in the general one are different from that
of a heavy band of rock. They try to pass strength and positivism
regarding hard reality in which one lives, which so the rap
starts to have great influence: in the attitude.
